Arif set to replace Pashban
Winger Mohammad Arif has been called up to the preliminary squad of the national football team after forward Pashban Mollah was ruled out of the squad due to fever.
Arif, who played a key role in Arambagh's Independence Cup triumph with two goals, is supposed to join the camp at BKSP on February 21 along with nine other players from Arambagh and Chittagong Abahani.
Bangladesh head coach Andrew Ord started the camp with 22 players on February 14.
The camp will continue till February 27. The team will fly to Qatar for a two-week preparation camp the following day ahead of the March 27 friendly against Laos.
The Australian coach is expected to pick a 23-member squad before leaving for Qatar for that game in Laos.
