BUBT wins Last Man Stands university cricket league
Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) has won the title of the Last Man Stands Travel Booking BD Ltd University League 16/17.
BUBT beat North South University SPZ Boyz in the final by three wickets on April 15, 2017.
Batting first, NSU SPZ Boyz were bowled out for their lowest ever score of 106 in front of a disciplined bowling performance by the BUBT bowlers.
Chasing 107 runs to win, BUBT were off with a flying start with a 45-run opening partnership. However, a batting collapse of four wickets for just one run put BUBT in trouble, but a lower order partnership of 46 runs between BUBT batsmen Inzamam and Gem made sure they win the last smile.
Akram Naeem of BUBT became the Miyako Man of the Match for his brilliant allround performance with the bat and the ball.
