BD A crumble to heavy defeat

Bangladesh A suffered a 117-run defeat to Sagicor High Performance Centre in the first one-dayer of the three-match series at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown yesterday.
Andre Russell bulldozed the visitors with a 56-ball 132 to take the home side to 327 after being reduced to 49 for four, before the second-string Bangladesh side crumbled to spin. Shuvagoto Hom top-scored with 51 as the visitors were skittled for 210.

SAGICOR HPC: 327 for 9 in 50 overs (Russell 132 not out, Johnson 67; Shafiul 3-37, Mukter 2-53). BANGLADESH A: 210 all out in 41.2 overs (Hom 51, Imrul 38; Nurse 3-45, Brathwaite 3-23). Result: Sagicor HPC won by 117 runs.
