Inspiration
Undoubtedly, I got a tremendously inspirational and cultural-minded family. The overall environment I was gifted by my parents was full of warmth and enthusiasm. I grew up with a wealthy educational environment; simultaneously a wide range of cultural practices. The knowledge I helped from my surroundings; cooperated me to think broader. The person whose contribution is prodigiously motivational to my works, it remains incomplete without mentioning his name, is none but my husband, Prof. Enamul Haque. He encouraged me to get involved in theatrical activities. Therefore, my inspiration is my family.
Philosophy
I believe in honesty. To me, life should be designed as its simplest frame; and is all about work. My effort with honesty at my workplace gives me the highest possible gratification. I am very specific about my words and totally dislike duality and hypocrisy. So, I always refrain myself from those traits. Even if I find someone practicing those, I just turn myself away from that person silently.
Views on her Profession
Theatre itself is a universe. It introduces us to a numerous cultural zone, a new era of life; moreover, it widens our thoughts. It is said, "Theatre is a work, theatre is a hard-work, and theatre is an aesthetic work". It has always been a concealed aspiration of mine to apprise the new generation about the beauty of art, and the empyrean beauty of the entire world as well. Moreover, all the negativities can be abandoned by this boundless beauty if the youth of this decade engage themselves in securing this rich heritage.
Music
I am a die hard fan of Rabindra Sangeet. Especially the song, "Amar matha nato kore dao" has an amazing charm that attracts me the most.
Films
I usually watch the '60s and '70s movies. The Bengali movie "Shutorang" by an outstanding filmmaker -Shubhash Dutta has been victorious to touch my heart.
Books
I have a huge collection of books of different writers. So, I can't say any specific name of my preferred books. Remarkably, "Upanyas Samagra by Rabindranath" and "Saratchandra Rachana Samagra" are some of my favorites.
Future Plans
My thirst for theatre has always been my loyal companion. Recently, a southern folk play of Bangladesh, "Gohor Badsha O Banesa Pori" by our theatre group (Nagorik Nattyangon, 1995) has received enormous response, 20th show of it has been played already. We had a plan to start with a new production in the midst of 2017. But, in the meantime, we receiveda request from "Shawkat Osman Smriti Parishad" on the occasion of 100th birthday celebration of our honourable novelist late Shawkat Osman. Within a very short time, we gladly took this challenge and staged a two days drama from his remarkable novel "Kritodasher Hashi" on 2ndand 3rd of January,2017 at "Shawkat Osman Milanayatan". Fortunately, it became the first drama of Bangladeshi theatre of this year. Alongside, we have started our journey with the 22nd batch of "Nagorik Nattyangon Institute of Drama (NNID)".
Idols
I have found many idols in numerous spheres of my entire life. Of course my parents are my idols; my teachers, my husband, so many instructors who guided me in each and every stair of my life have became my idols. For instance, if I consider literature, Rabindranath Tagore is my all-time favorite.
