How fast time goes by is a wonder. It seems like it was only the other day we started Star Showbiz, and here we are on it first anniversary! The Star Showbiz desk is lost in celebration, one on hand we have the publication's anniversary, and at the same time, we have the joyous occasion of Eid ul Fitr. But, then again, the spirit of celebration is a recurring thing at Star Showbiz. Getting to know the stars, interviewing them in between photo shoots which we organize as day long events, and then have conversations with them on the radio, all these together is a recurring celebration every week. It's a lot of fun indeed! Learning to interact with celebrities is an art which takes time to learn, some big shot names will surprise you with their eccentricity, while others will surprise you with their down-to-earth nature and humility. I am immensely grateful to the entire Star Showbiz team for their effort, specially the sub-editors and writers without whom the publication would not have been as well received by readers as it is today. I must thank the photographers Tuhin Hossain and Shahrear Kabir Heemel, and the Daily Star graphics team for their work. Last but not the least, I must express my gratitude to Que Bella's Farzana Munni, who not only been working with us with as a stylist and makeup expert, but has poured her heart and soul into making the photographs of Star Showbiz beautifully different. She even allowed the use of her full word drop personal items and accessories! I cannot express in words how immensely crucial Munni is to the entire aesthetic value of Star Showbiz. A shout out to the regular advertisers of Star Showbiz for their generous patronage, and for their encouragement and interest in Star Showbiz. For the first time in the history of entertainment magazines of Bangladesh, Star Showbiz has teamed up Radio Shadin to turn each week's issue into a radio program, which will be aired every Saturday, from 11 pm to 1 am, starting from today, 26th July 2014. The show will feature an in-depth conversation with stars of Bangladesh, much more detailed than the version we publish in the print format. And guess what, there's even better news, because we are already working with a TV channel in converting Star Showbiz into a TV show to be aired on Saturdays. We are very happy that we have a unique couple on our special issue today, Fuad and Maya. Fuad requires no introduction – everyone who listens to Bangla music has heard of him. Although I didn't know Fuad personally, I knew his wife Maya, and it was Maya that led me to Fuad. An exclusive interview with Fuad is a rare thing, and Star Showbiz thanks Maya for the opportunity. From a distance, I had a certain impression about Fuad which didn't hold after meeting him in person. I found Fuad to be incredibly smart, and genuinely nice. He takes a little time to open up, but once he does, he is a tremendous man to talk to. Fuad and Maya have been together for three and a half years, but seeing them together felt like meeting a newly married couple, and I wish them a lifetime of happiness together. The Star Showbiz team offers the heartiest of greetings and best wishes to them and to all our readers. Eid Mubarak!
