Man for the Lemon
I am biased towards lemons. Or any fruit of the citrus family, for that matter.
Let me present my argument. Not only are they bright – donning the colours yellow, orange and at times green – but I think they have a (genetically?) inherent quality of making food taste wayyy better. Savoury dishes are more flavourful with lime juice added, lemon-flavoured desserts have that intense tang – I could go on and on. I just realised that I can write an entire essay now that I remember how citrus beverages make me feel. I'll stop.
So when life does give you lemons – it can't be all that bad, right?
