Road crashes kill three

Three people were killed and 20 others injured in road accidents in the country yesterday.
Our Jessore correspondent reports, ten personnel of Border Guard Bangladesh 26 Battalion and a driver were injured when a pick-up van carrying them veered out of control and hit a roadside tree at Chatiyantola in Jessore Sadar upazila yesterday. 
The injured are Subedar Humayun, Nayek Jubair, and Lance Nayeks Jakir Hossain, Emdadul Haque, Chandi Charon, Al Mamun, Mosharof Hossain, Jahid Hossain, Mofijur Rahman, and Monirul Islam, and driver Humayun Ahmad. Five of them were shifted to Combined Military Hospital from Jessore Sadar Hospital.
Our Netrakona correspondent adds, a boy was killed and five other persons were injured when a passenger vehicle fell into a roadside ditch at Abhaypasha in Atpara upazila yesterday. 
The deceased was Dipu, 4, son of Altaf Hossen of Shreerampur village. Two of the injured were sent to Netrakona Sadar Hospital while the others to local health complex.
Our Narayanganj correspondent adds, a passenger of a human hauler was killed and five others were injured as a truck hit the vehicle at Shimultali in Araihazar upazila yesterday.
The deceased was Tahmina Akther, 25, of Rasulpur area. The injured were rushed to Araihazar Upazila Health complex.
A Comilla correspondent adds, Asadul Islam, 25, a bus helper, of Feni district, was killed when a covered van hit him while he was crossing the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in Haripur of Daudkandi upazila yesterday.
