Road crashes kill 7
Countrywide road crashes killed seven people and injured 68 others yesterday.
Our Kishoreganj correspondent reports, three people were killed and 25 others injured when a bus collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw on Dhaka-Kishoreganj bypass road near Boratia area in Pakundia upazila.
The deceased were Mia Hossain, Ahammad Ali and Swapan Mia of the district.
A correspondent from Chittagong reports, a person died and two others were injured when a train rammed into a mini-truck at a level crossing in City Gate area of the city.
The deceased was truck helper Md Sajeeb, 25, of New Mansurabad area.
Our Manikganj correspondent reports, two children died when a truck rammed a motorcycle at Garadia bus stand on Manikganj-Singair road in Singair upazila.
The deceased were Alvi Hossain, 6, son of Tajul Islam and Trisha Akter, 7, daughter of Hanif Ali of the district.
Our Madaripur correspondent adds a person died and 40 others were injured when a bus fell into a roadside ditch as the driver lost control over the vehicle on Dhaka-Barisal highway in Mastafapur area.
The deceased was bus helper Jahangir Bapari, 40, of Madaripur Sadar upazila.
