Rizwana hopeful of husband’s return
Bela chief executive Syeda Rizwana Hasan, wife of abducted Abu Bakkar Siddiqui, today expressed her hope that her husband will be returned safely to his family.
“As, apparently, I am getting full support from the government and the law enforcing agencies,” Rizwana said at a press conference at Brac Inn Centre in the capital today.
"Though the law enforcers are yet to trace him out, there is no reason of being hopeless," she said.
Responding to reporters' query, she said, "The progress of law enforcers is not so up-to-the mark, but from my personal point of view I am not losing hope as apparently I am getting all-out support from law enforcers and the government till now."
"I hope we will get our lost family member back safely and well within the soonest possible time,” she hoped, saying he has no fault except supporting her activities.
Rejecting the possibility of intimidation, Rezwana said, "Neither I have heard of his enmity with anybody in my 22 year-conjugal life, nor does anybody call me demanding extortion or threatening me of abduction."
Armed miscreants yesterday abducted Siddique in Fatulla area of Narayanganj around 2:30pm yesterday he was coming to Dhaka by his car.
