Rawshan's Mymensingh home, JSD office bombed
The Jamaat-Shibir activists hurled crude bombs at the village home of Jatiya Party Presidium Member Rawshan Ershad in Mymensingh and the district office of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) early today.
No injury was reported from bomb attacks, reports our Mymensingh correspondent.
The minister's residence "Sundar Mahal" is now being used as the district JP office.
The activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing, Islami Chhatra Shibir, exploded two petrol bombs at the JSD office at Gangadas Guha Road around 12:30am and within 10 minutes they also hurled two crude bombs at Rawshan's home, just half kilometer away from the JSD office.
Some furniture of the JSD office were damaged in the fire that ignited following the explosion of patrol bombs, said Sadek Hossain, general secretary of the district JSD unit.
On information, locals and party activists rushed to the scene and managed to douse the fire.
The same party activists blasted two more handmade bombs in front of the house of Rowshan, the health minister of the polls-time cabinet, claimed Md Wahiduzzaman Arju, secretary of student and education affairs of the JP district unit.
Confirming the blasts, Golam Sarwar, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, said they are yet to identify the culprits.
