Rajuk Uttara Model School and College topped the list of the best college in this year’s Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) examination under Dhaka board.
Abdul Kadir Mollah City College of Narsingdi secured the second position while Adamjee Cantonment School and College, National Ideal College and Viqarunnisa Noon School and College stood third, fourth and fifth positions respectively.
Rajshahi College secured the top position in Rajshahi board and Rangpur Cantonment Public School and College stood first in Dinajpur board.
Faujdarhat Cadet College topped the list of best schools in Chittagong board while Jalalabad Cantonment Public School and College in Sylhet, Comilla Cadet College in Comilla, Jhenaidah Cadet College in Jessore and Barisal Cadet College in Barisal board.
The overall pass rate in HSC and equivalent examinations rose by 4.03 percentage points this year with 78.33 percent passing the exams held under 10 education boards.
The pass rate is 84.54 percent in Dhaka, 79.16 percent in Sylhet, 78.55 percent in Rajshahi, 74.14 percent in Dinajpur, 71.75 percent in Barisal, 70.14 percent in Comilla, 70.06 percent in Chittagong and 60.58 percent in Jessore board.
A total of 85.02 percent students have passed under technical board while 94.08 under madrasa board.
A total of 70,602 students got GPA-5 out of total of 1,141,374 examinees-- 606,293 boys and 535,081 girls-- from 8,104 institutions across the country under the 10 educations boards.
