Joynal Abdin Farooque gets bail in 4 cases
The High Court today granted ad-interim bail to BNP leader Joynal Abdin Farooque in four separate vandalism and arson cases.
The court also issued four separate rules asking the government to explain in four weeks as to why Farooque should not be granted regular bail in the cases.
The High Court bench of Justice Md Miftah Uddin Choudhury and Justice ANM Bashir Ullah came up with the order and rule after hearing four separate petitions filed by Joynal Abdin Farooque seeking bail in the cases.
The four separate cases were filed against Farooque and others with Paltan Police Station in 2015 on charge of vandalism and arson attacks.
The BNP leader surrendered to a Dhaka court on July 2 this year in connection with the cases. The same day, the court sent Farooque to jail after rejecting his bail petition in the cases.
However, Farooque cannot get released from jail following today’s HC order as he is arrested in other cases.
