BNP’s Salauddin hospitalised for kidney surgery
BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed has been admitted to a hospital in Hariana of India for kidney operation, where he will undergo surgery tomorrow.
His operation will be performed at Medanta hospital, our Kolkata correspondent reports. The BNP leader has been suffering from pyeloplasty disease.
In the last month, a Shillong court permitted Salahuddin for taking better treatment at any hospital out of the Shillong town.
He has been living in a luxury cottage in Shillong after a local court granted him bail in a case filed by the Indian police for trespassing in May 2015.
Around two months after going missing from Dhaka city, Salahuddin was found in Shillong, the capital of north-eastern Indian state of Meghalaya, on May 12, 2015.
It still remains a mystery how and when Salahuddin, then joint secretary general of the BNP, landed in Shillong after he was allegedly picked up by plainclothes law enforcers from a house in Dhaka's Uttara area on March 10, 2015.
