BNP-Jamaat is Pakistani ghost, evil force of nation: Hanif
Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif today termed BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami as Pakistani ghost saying that they are working to create a constitutional vacuum in the country.
“BNP-Jamaat is the Pakistani ghost blatantly and evil force of Bangladesh. They are working to safeguard the interest of Pakistan,” Hanif said at a programme in Dhaka this noon.
He was addressing a preparatory meeting organised by Dhaka south unit of Awami League at Mohanagar Natya Mancha in Gulistan to successfully hold a rally on January 10 marking the Home Coming Day of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
BNP not only boycotted the 10th parliamentary election on January 5, 2014, they also killed people by carrying out arson attacks to foil the election, Hanif said.
BNP will be paid befittingly in the next general election if the party does not shun the path of violence, the Awami League leader said.
Undemocratic forces could have grabbed the state power if the 10th parliamentary election was not held on January 5, 2014, he claimed.
Claiming that the 10th parliamentary election was held only to protect the country’s constitutional continuity, he said the country would have faced a constitutional setback in absence of the election.
