PM's briefing on US visit tomorrow
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hold a press conference tomorrow to brief about the outcome of her New York visit.
The press conference will be held at her residential office Gono Bhaban in Dhaka in the afternoon, Noorelahi Mina, assistant press secretary to the premier, told The Daily Star.
However, the issues of Latif Siddique, the prime minister's meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narandra Modi and the country's latest political situation will also come up in the conference.
A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the premier landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 10:40am today after her 10-day trip to the USA.
Hasina went to New York on September 22 to attend the 69th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). She addressed the UNGA on September 27.
On the sidelines of the UNGA, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina held meetings with UN Secretary General Ban ki-moon, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Norwegian premier Erna Solberg, Belarus Prime Minister Mikhal V. Myasnikovich and Nepalese Prime Minister Sushil Koirala.
Sheikh Hasina also attended a reception accorded by expatriate Bangladeshis.
