Stocks continue downtrend

The prices of the most shares on the country's premier bourse came down on Thursday, to continue the previous day's downtrend.

DGEN, the benchmark General Index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed 23 points to reach 3,914 points at the end of the day's trading.

Of the issues traded, 142 declined, 85 advanced and 37 remained unchanged.

A total of 65,852 trades were executed with Tk 178 crore changing hands.

On Wednesday, trading at the country's premier bourse ended at 3,937 points losing 25 points.
