Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has assured the tornado affected people in Brahmanbaria of government support.
"I'm here to assure that the Awami League-led government always stands by you," Hasina, who heads the AL, told a rally at a village in Brahmanbaria Sadar upazila.
She earlier visited three villages in the upazila, reports our Brahmanbaria correspondent.
After the rally, the premier left Brahmanbaria for Dhaka in a helicopter.
She went to Brahmanbaria in the afternoon to visit the areas hit hard by Friday's tornado that killed 23 people.
The tornado lashed nearly 20 villages in the district on Friday afternoon, killing at least 23 people and leaving an eight-kilometre trail of destruction in its path.
