Police arrested five Rohingyas in Chittagong city with fake Bangladeshi passports on Friday.

The law enforcers picked up the five from a city hotel from where they were preparing to go to Saudi Arabia with fake Bangladeshi passports, said Pranab Chowdhury, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sadarghat Police Station.

The arrestees -- Md Abdullah, 25, Md Jamil, 25, Md Jobayed, 25, Md Osman, 20, and Nur Kamal, 20, -- hail from Boli Bazar, Moshidong and Sukha areas of Myanmar, the OC said.

The police official said they were trying to arrest the middlemen.
