2 remanded for 4 days for further interrogation

A court in Dhaka placed two people arrested in connection with the killing of Atiqul Islam, video editor of private television channel ntv, on a four-day remand when they were produced before the court yesterday.
Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested suspected killer Abdullah Mohammad Ibne Ali Sarkar alias Nahid from the city's Shajahanpur area and according to his confession, another DB team arrested Khokon, a trader, and recovered the victim's snatched motorbike from Signboard area on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway on Tuesday.
DB police took them to their custody for interrogation on remand, said Additional Deputy Commissioner (PR) M Masudur Rahman, adding that they are trying to arrest other criminals involved in the killing and snatching.
Nahid disclosed the names of others involved in the incident, said ADC Masud.
The snatchers gunned down Atiqul and snatched his motorbike at Moghbazar railway crossing while he was returning to his residence at Noyatola from his office at Karwan Bazar on the night of February 14.
