Indian killed in BDR-BSF cross fire in Satkhira

Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) traded gunfire on Baikari border in Sadar upazila here yesterday morning.
BDR said they retaliated after BSF fired six shorts at BDR.
At one stage, an Indian national was killed by the BSF gun shot at about 500 yards off zero point inside the Indian territory opposite to Baikari border.
The deceased is Emdadul Haque, 22, son of Nur Ali of Andulia village in Baduria police station. On contact, 41 Rifles Battalion operations officer Major Kamrul Hasan confirmed the incident.
