Opposition plans 'killing mission'
Awami League General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam yesterday said BNP would never be able to return to power without resorting to bloodshed, killing and conspiracy.
And that is why the main opposition party has planned a “dangerous killing mission†ahead of the next general elections, he told a discussion at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital.
BNP chief Khaleda Zia has flown to Singapore in the name of taking treatment basically to seal a negotiation with a powerful country to return to power through the next election, said Ashraful, also the LGRD and cooperatives minister.
From Singapore, she will go to London in the name of meeting her son Tarique Rahman, where she will sit with another influential country to take state power, he maintained.
“I won't disclose the names of the countries now. I have proofs for my claims and I will let people know that after the opposition leader returns home,†added the AL leader.
He urged all to remain alert so that the BNP could not succeed on its “conspiracy.â€
The AL organised the discussion marking the International Mother Language Day today.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Deputy Leader of the parliament Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury, Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury, Jute and Textiles Minister Abdul Latif Siddique, Post and Telecommunications Minister Shahara Khatun, Foreign Minister Dipu Moni, AL leaders Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, Nooh-ul-Alam Lenin and Mahbubul Alam Hanif were present.
