Lower judiciary reshuffled

A total of 14 lower court judges and equivalent officials have been transferred and given new postings in a latest reshuffle in the judiciary.
The government made the reshuffle as per consultations with the Supreme Court, says a notification issued by the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs in this regard on Thursday.
Dhaka's additional metropolitan sessions judge M Aminul Haque and Pabna's chief judicial magistrate Syed Jahed Mansur have been made deputy secretary and examination controller of the Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission secretariat on deputation respectively.
Dhaka's additional district and sessions judge Nilufar Sultana has been attached with the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
Additional district and sessions judge of Bagerhat M Rabiul Islam and that of Pabna M Shahenur have been made chief judicial magistrates of Jhenidah and Rajshahi respectively.
Chief judicial magistrate M Golam Rabbani of Jhenidah has been made director of the Anti-Corruption Commission on deputation while Gaibandha's chief judicial magistrate Basudev Roy was transferred as deputy secretary of the Election Commission.
Bandarban's chief judicial magistrate La Mong and Chandpur's chief judicial magistrate Begum Chomon Chowdhury have been appointed additional district and sessions judges of Chittagong and Comilla respectively.
Patuakhali's chief judicial magistrate Kiron Shankar Halder and chief judicial magistrate Nazir Ahmed of Dinajpur have been made additional district and sessions judges of Jhalakati and Chuadanga respectively.
Chief judicial magistrates Syed Humayun Azad of Cox's Bazar and M Makbul Ahsan of Habiganj, and member of Dhaka's first court of settlement Fahmida Quder have been made additional district and sessions judges of Sylhet.
