National hockey striker Rasel Mahmud Jimmy recently declined two offers to play in a domestic tournament in Oman ahead of Bangladesh national team's engagements in Nehru Cup, Lal Bahadur Shastri Hockey Tournaments and World Hockey League.
The prolific striker was first offered to play for Al-Nasar club of Oman during the AHF Cup in Thailand and recently he was approached by Oman's Al-Seeb hockey club to play the semifinals and final match in an ongoing tournament but the striker declined to accept both offers due to commitment with the national team.
“I refused both of them for the engagement with the national team. It could have been pleasing to play there but the national team is my first priority and there is no way of thinking any alternative,” said Jimmy yesterday.
