Dhaka Bar Polls: One candidate alleges irregularities
A defeated candidate of the election of Dhaka Bar Association yesterday appealed to the chief election commissioner to cancel the results bringing charges of irregularities against him in counting votes.
Advocate Mohammad Sajjad Hossain who was defeated in the election held on February 22 and 23 to the post of assistant general secretary submitted an application to the commissioner in this regard.
Sajjad, a candidate of the Awami League-backed Sammilita Ainjibi Samannay Parishad (white panel), got 2930 votes.
He appealed to cancel the results of the election within three days and fix a new date for re-election.
Advocate Enayet Hossain Khan conducted the elections.
