NSTU student drowns

A student of Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) drowned in Turag River in Ashulia on the outskirts of the capital on Friday evening.
Tanvir Md Siddique of Laxmipur, was a sixth batch student at computer science and telecommunications department, said Abhijit Chakraborty, head of the department.
Tanvir went to Ashulia with some of his friends on Friday morning and drowned in a river in the area while he was swimming at around 3:00pm, said Arif, one of his friends.
In the evening, locals found Tanvir's body floating on the river and recovered it. The body was taken to NSTU campus yesterday and then buried at his family graveyard.
