Late Autumn Book Fair begins in the city

On the occasion of Hemanta (late autumn), Shahbagh Boipara Shangho and Bangladesh Pustak Prokashak O Bikreta Samity have jointly organised a book fair on the premises of Central Public Library, Shahabagh in the city.
The book fair was inaugurated on November 15. Professor Mizanur Rahman, Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) inaugurated the fair as chief guest. Noor Hossain Talukder, director of Public Library Department, was present as special guest.
The participating publishing houses are Shandesh, Papirash, Pathak Shamabesh, Gash Phul Nodi, Pollol, Megnum Opus, Porua, Kotha Foundation, Bengal Foundation, Muktodhara, Prothoma, Jonantik and others.
There is a wide variety of books to choose from at the book stalls: Bangla and Engish literature, children's books. Among the other books are novels, poetry, prose, religious history books, travelogue, art, literature and encyclopedias.
The fair will continue till November 26.
