Libyan government has provided various items of relief materials, including rice and flour, for the country's poor and distressed people.
The relief materials include 75,000 pieces of sarees, 68,000 pieces of blankets, 800 metric tons of rice and 500 metric tons of flour.
Libyan Charge de Affaires Mohamed AM Darhubi yesterday formally handed over the materials to Acting Secretary of Food and Disaster Management Ministry Dr Mohammad Ayub Miah.
The food secretary thanked the charge de affaires and said the relief would be distributed soon among the poor and distress people through the Relief and Rehabilitation Department.
