Jamaat leader Taher sued in Satkhira, Khulna
Separate general diaries were lodged against Jamaat leader and former lawmaker Dr Abdullah Mohammad Taher in Khulna and Satkhira yesterday and Friday night for his provocative speech at a discussion in Dhaka.
Firoz Ahmed, Satkhira district organising secretary of Awami League, lodged a GD with Sadar thana against Dr Taher yesterday.
In his GD, Firoz alleged that security of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her family members, state government and people might be endangered due to his provocative speech given by Dr Taher at a discussion at the National Press Club on August 4.
Firoz called for taking legal actions against Taher and his associates, ensuring security to all.
Mohammad Shahjahan Khan, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar police station, admitted the filing of the GD.
Khulna Correspondent said a general diary (GD) was lodged with Digholia police station on Friday night against Dr Taher for his speech at a meeting at the National Press Club in Dhaka.
Digholia upazila AL President Khan Nazrul Islam lodged the GD, saying that the Jamaat leader's remarks at the discussion indicated that the activists of Jamaat and Shibir might launch subversive activities to foil trial of the war criminals.
