2 ships leave for Lebanon
Two ships of Bangladesh Navy Naval Frigate BNS Osman and Patrol Craft NBS Madhumati, left the naval base in Chittagong yesterday to join United Nations (UN) peacekeeping mission in Lebanon.
Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan and Naval Chief Vice Admiral ZU Ahmed were present during the departure of the naval ships carrying 32 naval officials and 288 crews under the command of Capt Mozammel Haq and Commander Afzalul Haq for joining the UN Interim Force in Lebanon UNIFIL.
