Navy ships head for rescue operations
Members of Bangladesh Navy have been engaged in disaster management and rehabilitation activities in the cyclone-hit country's south-western region.
The survey ship of navy; BNS Agradut, has been sent to Mongla port to verify the route for movement of ship and channel clearance, said an ISPR release.
BNS Turag and Madhumoti have been engaged in post-cyclone operation in Hiron Point, Dublar Char, Alor Kol and the areas adjacent to Bore Point.
Another three landing crafts of the navy have already started rescue operation in Kalapara, Khepupara Patharghata, Barguna and its adjacent areas.
Besides other landing crafts have been engaged in Barisal and other affected areas for carrying out rescue operation.
