Lalon: Reverberations in the soul

To mark the 119th death anniversary of Fakir Lalon Shai, a three-day fair titled 'Lalon Mela' and musical programme started from October 16 and ended at October 19 at Chheuria Lalon Akhra in Kushtia.

The three-day programme included a 'Lalon Mela,' discussion and rendition of songs by artists of Lalon Academy and bauls from across the country.

After 119 years of the demise of Fakir Lalon Shai, his philosophy continues to have a strong hold, especially in the greater Kushtia and adjacent areas. Every year a large number of people from all corners of the country as well as from abroad visit Lalon's shrine and pay homage to the great bard.
