Biswajeet drew attention of the audience at the initial stage of his music career rendering modern songs such as Tore putuler mato kore-e shajiye and Tumi roj bikele amar bagane, which are still popular.
However, his family did not allow him to take music as a career and rather wanted that he takes his family business as profession. But it is the determination of the singer that has helped him to overcome all odds.
In an interview with the Daily Star Online, Kumar Bishwajit gives an overview of the contemporary music scenario in the country. According to him, only a few selected singers have created market in the industry.
He evaluates that some young artistes create a sensation for a while but cannot survive for a long time due to lack of basic training and practice. At the same time Biswajeet believes that lack of quality lyrics and compositions is other major cause for the decline in modern songs.
Biswajeet enjoys live performance most. According to him, I is the concert that proves the potential of a singer. Thanks to technology, many unknown singers with no proper training are releasing mediocre albums.
A choosy singer, Biswajeet prefers to work with a select number of music composers.
