In conversation with Warfaze

Pioneering heavy metal band of the country Warfaze was formed in early 1984 by a group of young talents with a view to present metal and hard rocks featuring unique music and lyric. After a successful journey of 25 years, Warfaze has become one of the leading bands in Bangladesh by releasing six hit albums. Warfaze has also a good number of crowds in India.

Songs such as Ekti Chhele, Boshe Achhi, Koishor, Hotasha, Bewarish, Jibondhara, Alo, Brishti Nemechey, Jokhon, Obak Bhalobasha, Pathochala and many others of Warfaze have always been hits.

In it's journey many members came and left. The current line-up of the band: Mizan vocalist, Kamal and Oni on guitars, Shams on the keyboard, Tipu on drums and Roger on the bass guitar.

Last year Warfaze celebrated 25th anniversary. To celebrate the anniversary the band organised a reunion concert where all of the current and former band members participated.

This year has also been an eventful for the band. Pathochala, a compilation of popular songs of the band, has been released on the eve of Bangla New Year. The album will be released simultaneously in Kolkata, India. Earlier it released 'Nokia 5800 Express Music', first of its kind in Bangladesh.

In a chit-chat with the Daily Star Online the band members talked about their newly released album, struggler that they had to made to set a new trend in Band music in Bangladesh and their up-coming projects.
