Three people were killed in a road accident on Thakurgaon-Dinajpur road at Dodapara village in Thakurgaon Sadar upazila on Thursday morning.
The dead were identified as Ashraful Islam, 22, son of Khagaru, Sayedur Rahaman, 17, son of Abdul Aziz of Nishchintapur village in Thakurgaon Sadar upazila and Shahinur Rahman, 25, a bus helper.
Police and locals said the accident occurred around 8:30am when a Panchagarh-bound BRTC bus collided head-on with a truck, leaving Ashraful dead on the spot and several others injured.
Sayedur and Shahinur succumbed to their injuries at Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital.
Injured others were treated at the hospital.
