18 baby crocodiles disappear in Khulna

Some 18 baby crocodiles disappeared from Karamjal Crocodile Breeding Centre in Dakop upazila of Khulna on Monday.

Abdur Rob, director of the Sundarbans Wildlife Breeding Centre, said a case was lodged with Dakop Police Station on Monday night following the incident.

Rob informed that the baby crocodiles under the age of one year could not be found in their nurture pans and surrounding areas despite hectic search.

Local environmentalist Advocate Firoz Ahmed said missing of 18 crocodiles at a time is mysterious.
