'Rule of law is the key safeguard of democracy'

A US embassy spokesperson expressed his reaction after the final verdict in the Bangabandhu assassination case saying the rule of law is the most important safeguard of democracy.

"We have no specific comment on this case. However, the US government believes that the rule of law is the most important safeguard of democracy," he added.
