PM returns home from Italy

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned home on Thursday morning from Rome after a four-day official visit to Italy.

She went to Italy on November 15 to attend the World Summit on Food Security-2009, arranged by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO).

Deputy Leader of the House Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury, Adviser to the Prime Minister HT Imam, Textiles and Jute Minister Abdul Latif Siddiqui, LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Syed Ashraful Islam, hipping Minister Shajahan Khan, Fisheries and Livestock Minister Abdul Latif Biswas, chiefs of three services, head of the diplomatic corps in Dhaka, Awami League Joint Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif, and high civil and military officials were present at the airport to receive her.

Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury, Food Minister Dr Abdur Razzak and Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni, among others, accompanied the Prime Minister during her visit to Italy.
