Muggers shoot Banglalink staff for Tk 2 lakh

Muggers sprayed bullets on a sales representative of Banglalink and took away some Tk 2 lakh from him in the capital’s Sutrapur area Saturday afternoon.

The injured was identified as Subrato, 26.

Officer in-charge of Sutrapur Police Station Md Hanif told The Daily Star that a gang of muggers opened fire on Subrata while collecting money from the dealers of the mobile phone company in the area at about 4:00pm.

Subrato was rushed to Midford Hospital from where he was shifted to National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (Nitor), widely known as Paungu Hospital, with bullet injuries in his leg.
