Outlaw held with arms in Jhenidah

An outlaw was arrested along with a pipe gun and ammunition at Hazidanga village in Jhenaidah Sadar upazila on Friday night.

The arrested was identified as Uzzal, 34, a member of Biplobi Communist Party (ML-Janajuddha).

Matiar Rahman, officer in-charge of Jhenaidah Police Station, said police, acting on a tip-off, raided the house of Uzzal and arrested him. Police also recovered a pipe gun and a bullet from his possession.

Uzzal was wanted in a number of cases, the OC said.
