Photo: Star Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) members recovered nine firearms along with ammunition from the house of a businessman, loyal to BNP, in Faridpur district town and arrested three people early Thursday.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Rab-8 conducted a raid at the house of Golam Rabbani Moon at Alipur in the town at about 4:30am.
During the three-hour drive, Rab personnel recovered two foreign made revolvers, one USA-made pistol, three magazines, one 9mm pistol, one .22 bore pistol, two LGs and two shutter guns from the house, reports our Faridpur correspondent.
The elite force members also arrested two caretakers and a relative of Golam Rabbani from the house.
Details about the arrestees could not be known immediately.
Golam Rabbani, also ex-president of the district Bus Owners' Association, was not at home during the drive.
