Unidentified miscreants shot a man to death in the capital's Mohammadpur area this morning.
Anisur Rahman, 40, was a shop owner of a super market at Satmasjid Road in the capital's Dhanmondi area, said Sujan, a neighbour of the victim.
Rahman was gunned down in front of his residence at Bosila of Mohammadpur around 7:00am, Mozammel Haque, inspector of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital camp, told The Daily Star.
Local people found bullet-hit Rahman lying on a road in front of his house, the inspector said.
The people took him to the DMCH where doctors pronounced Rahman dead around 8:00am.
The victim received a bullet in the chest, the police said.
