Man killed in Ctg petrol bomb attack
A man was killed and two others were injured when alleged blockaders hurled a petrol bomb on a truck carrying them on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Mirsarai upazila of Chittagong last night.
The victim was identified as Enam Hossain, 33, reports our Chittagong correspondent.
Police said miscreants hurled a petrol bomb on a Chittagong-bound cement-laden truck around 11:00pm.
The truck plunged into a roadside ditch as the driver lost control over steering during the attack, leaving the trio injured.
Of them, Enam succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. Identities about the injured could not be known.
Enam and three others were travelling to Chittagong from Feni by the truck.
Md Shafiq, a sub-inspector of Jorarganj police outpost, confirmed the incident to The Daily Star.
The incident took place on the eighth day of the countrywide blockade enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance protesting the confinement of its chief Khaleda Zia in her Gulshan office in Dhaka.
