Dhaka International Trade Fair
Consumer Extravaganza

In an entertainment-hungry city like Dhaka any kind of fair, especially in the cool winter, is welcomed by the harried urbanites. The annual Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) held at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, is always a good reason to get out of the house, defy traffic and enter into an open air shopping mall that offers a mind-blowing number of consumer goods at fairly reasonable prices. This year, Dhaka is holding its 14th DITF organised jointly by the Ministry of Commerce and Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).

This year, a total of 467 organisations, including seven other countries, are taking part in the fair. The foreign participants include India, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand, USA, UAE, Japan and Germany.

And the products, both foreign and local, range from household goods, electrical appliances, handicrafts, textiles, garments, cosmetics to garden equipment and chemicals.
