The Portland Rose Garden in Oregon

FLOWERS OF SPRING

In Spring, flowers abound all over the world. In North America, blossoming flowers mark the end of winter. In Peru, where it's really Autumn, flowers appear at the end of the rainy season. In the harsh desert of Joshua Tree, flowers colour an otherwise stark landscape. At the Portland Rose Garden, there are hundreds of varieties of roses that are put on display. But you don't have to travel too far to appreciate the beauty of mother nature - the most beautiful flowers I found were on a bike ride five miles from home in the Santacruz Mountains.
