EATING OUT

Twist of taste and little fresh air -- The Cart Company

By Taskin Rahman

The Cart Company is a new addition to the ever-growing restaurant industry in Dhaka and especially in the areas of Gulshan, Banani and Baridhara.
Located across the street from Standard Chartered Bank House on Gulshan Avenue in an alley where parking can be quite difficult, The Cart Company caters to a lot of office goers at lunch and even for dinner.
It offers the same options that were once done by Time Out in Gulshan 1 or Hot Hut in Gulshan 2, where Pink City now stands.
The price, taste and quantity of food are favourable for the customer. Their food features a lot of fusion and some twists in a very positive way. There is something definitely new in how they serve each item. Nasi Goreng and Chicken Corn soup are definitely my favourites. Chicken Corn Soup comes with butter fried nuts while the Nasi Goreng is full of flavours at a very affordable price.
The outdoor setting provides the perfect ambience, particularly as the evenings are still cool. The décor is neither luxurious nor too funky, but something done very casually which does not overpower the consumer or force power dressing.
On a scale of 5, The Cart Company will score 4.
