Spice up your Valentine's
It's Valentine's Day and just like every other year you have planned out a romantic lunch or dinner with your partner. You've bought gifts, wrapped them up neatly, organised your outfit for the day, bought a bouquet of roses and are completely prepared to make sure everything goes as planned, just the way it always does every year. Sounds clichéd doesn't it? It's high time you change this ritual which you have been following for years now and spice up this year's Valentine's Day.
Book your entire day with your partner and try doing some fun activities with them because effort and time is the way to a woman's heart. Begin the day by planning out a picnic together at Zinda Park for example. The night before, pack your jute basket with a clean white cloth, rose petals to decorate the cloth with, plastic cups and plates and her favourite bar of dark chocolate. Put the gift that you bought for her in a simple plain pink paper bag made by yourself and don't forget to top it off by adding a short sweet note for her in it.
Wondering what you should get her for breakfast? Try out a mixture of American and English breakfast. Wake up early in the morning and toast a few breads and cover them well with a clean cloth to keep them warm. If possible, make pancakes and carry along maple syrup to add to those warm set of delicacy. In addition, fry some sausages and omelettes with tomato which helps accentuate its taste. Don't forget to add pudding to your long list of food, for a delicious dessert is always the right way to end a mouth-watering meal.
Too much of a hassle? Well, if you have vowed to love her forever, then there is no better way of proving it than this.
Don't forget to take lots of pictures there and enjoy the spellbinding beauty which it offers, away from the hustle and bustle of Dhaka City.
On your way to your next destination in Banani, you'll get to drive through the long, empty roads of Purbachal. A good excuse to go on a long drive!
They say that pottery is a very romantic form of art and the 14th of February is the perfect day to take part in such an activity. Fortunately for us, there is a wonderful place in Banani by the name of Clay Station. With the help of the instructors, together with your partner create anything which represents your love for each other so that it stands as a souvenir for one of the best and most memorable days of both your lives. Yes, it can get a little messy and will be difficult to make something out on your first attempt but believe me, it's totally worth it. You are together enjoying the true essence of love through such a romantic activity, that too on such an auspicious day. This will take a few hours and by the time you will be done; it will be close to 4 PM.
Drive your way towards 300ft where you have a sea of food stores. Grab two rice bowls, wedges and cold coffee and drive down the roads towards Purbachal once again but this time parking the car at a serene and empty place on the road. Both of you get out of the car, sit on the trunk of the car and enjoy your food as you watch the sunset. It's going to be magical.
Many of you might say that you will be overdoing it by doing the aforementioned, but if you truly love your partner and mean it when you say that they are the love of your life, then this tiny bit of effort is nothing but the size of a grain. Your girlfriend, fiancé or wife deserves to be loved because they are like a pearl in the ocean in your eyes, and you will always treasure a pearl.
