Phulki brings Toddlers
Founded by Suraiya Haque along with friends who shared a common vision, Phulki was established to help disadvantaged children grow in a secure, healthy environment with proper education to prepare them for the future.
Phulki set up its first day care centre in an RMG factory in 1991, and so far is has established 22 factory-based day care centres and 82 community-based day care centres. Located in Mirpur, "Toddlers" is its first commercial venture.
In today's world where women are entering into the workforce in ever increasing numbers, some parents are forced to leave their children at home to be supervised by maids, and often — elderly grandparents. Toddlers is an initiative to help women retain their jobs with the peace of mind that their children are safe and in capable hands.
Phulki's caregivers and teachers are trained in early childhood development. The day care centres follow ECD based curriculum that emphasises on physical, social, cognitive, emotional and language development. Between the age of one and five, about 90 percent of brain development is complete, and Phulki has the necessary facilities to help nurture this early brain development phase in children.
Toddlers operates six days a week from 8AM to 7PM. Children are enrolled between the age of one and five. In order to ensure a low caregiver-to-child ratio, seats are limited. You can also visit Toddlers before enrolling your children, at House 6, Block A, Section 11, Mirpur, Dhaka-1216. Call 0178 197 1579 to make prior appointments.
