Areeze EVERY year for us, the month of April is decked with fun and festivity because it brings with it Pohela Boishakh, the first year of the Bengali New Year. This year has been no exception, with almost every institution in the country working towards celebrating Pohela Boishakh in their own special ways. In commemorating Boishakh, designers Mehreen Rahman and Rezwan Islam of fashion house Areeze, had organized a three day long exhibition last week. The exhibition, which began on the 3rd of this month and continued till the 5th, was held at Cofi11 at Banani. Situated on level 4 of Pink City at Gulshan Avenue, Areeze, since its inception around three years back has already made a name for itself in terms of product quality and design. The boutique is particularly famous for the distinct colours of every fabric used in the creation of each of their products. This distinction is brought about by their dyeing house, which is one of the most important factors contributing to the quality of products that Areeze offers. Designers Islam and Rahman state that they believe in quality above all, and therefore use only the finest in the range of our locally produced fabrics, and these fabrics, before being created into designs are dyed into a blend of exquisite colours that matches no other and makes each Areeze creation unique. Areeze also offers a host of other services. Be it choosing the right fabric, or dyeing the right shade, be it embroidery, block print or tailoring, Areeze offers its clients the freedom to explore the depths of their imagination and create their own designs. They also offer their services to boutiques that try for variety in colour concepts and designs. Areeze is the first of its kind in Bangladesh, catering to both women as well as men with individual fashion needs. By Farina Noireet |
