These days Dhaka is sprouting with boutiques creating their own trademark; Emprint has, for instance, tried to set the trend with floral patterns. Designer Farzana Yusuf, head of the Fashion Department at Santo Mariam University of Creative Technology and also teaching at the BGMEA Institute of Fashion Technology (BIFTA), has made Bangladeshi craftsmanship the highlight of her boutique. Through Emprint she will be trying to revive the traditional textile techniques and showcase artworks, for which Dhaka was once world famous.

Anybody who has a taste for originality and beautifully crafted clothing will adore Emprint. Apart from these, they also have an innovative vibrant collection for Boishak. Designer Farzana also wishes to include an array of hand-spun khadi for her summer fashion.

Many workers contribute for days in Emprint's workshop behind the making of a single exclusive attire. The price ranges, depending on the work done and fabric. Moreover, Emprint will expand its product line to a wide range of home and fashion accessories in the near future.

The French country look, the austere curves and crystalline white décor of the shop complements its ornate embellished clothing and makes the place a must visit. The ribbon cutting of this aristocratic boutique will be on the 22 March at 6pm. Ruby Ghuznavi, Managing Director of Aranya Crafts Ltd and Vice President-South Asia of World Crafts Council – Asia Pacific Region, will be inaugurating the shop. As it seems from now on, anything that has floral patterns and looks like a contemporary museum piece has definitely got to be Emprint!
