Simplify the process
We appreciate that the government has emphasized the need for mitigating the hurdles that general people have to go through in getting passports. The government has posted army officials at the passport office to reduce the hassles created by unscrupulous middlemen. The result is that the illegal operations of dalals (brokers) have been curtailed to a great extent. However, filling out the forms online doesn't help the applicants much. Because after filling out the forms online, one has to take a printout and then stand in a long queue for hours to submit the form at the passport office. What's the use of filling out form online if we cannot submit it online? I think the government should consider this to simplify the process.
